All of these learners have successfully achieved exam board certification as we are accredited with all the UK leading examination boards including; OCR, Edexcel, EDI, City and Guilds, Cambridge ESOL and Cache to name but a few.

Community capacity building is our other forte. During the last 20 years we have delivered many projects that supported disadvantaged people to improve lives.

Briefly, these include:
The National Careers Service is the UK Central Government’s initiative to provide information, advice and guidance (IAG) to help citizens make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offered confidential, helpful and impartial advice, supported by qualified careers advisers.

EBCF has delivered IAG services through this contract to over 30,000 people across the West Midlands region of England. Our highly qualified staff provided expert advice ensuring clients left with clear career goals and an action plan.

Working in partnership with the college we delivered employability programmes in partnership with JCP, employers and the local authority. The additional work also included Functional Skills, Apprenticeships, NVQ’s and Innovation Code funded provision..

Life in the UK Test is mandatory test for anyone wishing to acquire citizenship or settlement in the United Kingdom. EBCF has the largest Test Centre in Birmingham and has been invigilating tests on behalf of the Home Office since 2007.  We carried out over 20,000 tests at our Birmingham Test Centre.

Welcome Project, also funded by the UK Border Agency and European Integration Fund, to help third country foreign nationals to integrate into UK Society. To date this project helped over 3,000 people with over 1,000 people gaining ESOL related qualifications.

The Reaching Communities Programme funded by the Big Lottery helped over 10,000 people since 2007 by offering employment related services such as CVs, interview skills and completing job application forms.
