• £1000 incentive to you when you recruit OR enrol a 16-18-year-old onto an Apprenticeship qualification.

From August 2020 to January 2021, any firm that hires a new young apprentice aged 16 to 24 will receive £2,000, while those that hire new apprentices aged 25 and over will be paid £1,500.

An Apprenticeship is a real job with training so learners can earn while they learn and achieve nationally recognised qualifications.

Apprenticeships provide a great way to combine work with study, enabling learners to gain experience at the same time as taking nationally recognised qualifications, completing on programme learning and earning a salary. In all cases, the apprentice would be employed to perform a specific job role and, within the same period, would study the subject specific to their Apprenticeship at a college or training provider. Apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to university, with around half a million Apprenticeship starts a year. With a continued push to ensure that Apprenticeships have the same status and esteem as a degree, they’re becoming even more relevant in today’s workplace. They have a great fit with employers both large and small, as well as offering career progression opportunities that can provide a route into higher education.

A Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high-quality work experience placement.

Traineeships help unlock your great potential and give you the work preparation training, maths and English and work experience needed to get an Apprenticeship or other job.

This Traineeships Opportunity is unwaged and offer an exit interview upon completion.

The Traineeship opportunity is unwaged but could lead into a fully paid Apprenticeship for the successful candidate.

We will fully fund individuals aged 19 to 24 who have not previously attained a first full level 3 qualification, for the core elements of their traineeship programme where:

235.1. they are unemployed or

235.2. they have little or no work experience and are focused on employment, an apprenticeship, or the prospect of this, and

235.3. they have been assessed as having the potential to be ready for employment or an apprenticeship within six months.
