EBCF has been awarded National Lottery Funding to provide essential life skills for deprived communities across Birmingham. The grant is funding training and facilities to deliver a range of life skills courses, including cookery, health, wellbeing and beauty, money management, confidence and self-esteem.
This project will focus on local neighbourhoods who are struggling to access training and employment opportunities for a variety of practical reasons such as lack of crèche facilities, health problems, lack of basic skills, language barriers and lack of confidence. It will encourage and support project participants in gaining the practical skills and knowledge they need to access other courses, employment or services, and the confidence and experience to use them.
