Taxi Driving Routeway

A 4 week recognized BTEC Level 2 Certificate in The Introduction Into The Role Of A Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver. This intermediate qualification covers the essential skills to become a taxi or private hire driver in the taxi industry.

The course covers health and safety, road safety when driving passengers, customer service, dealing with queries and requests, route planning, transporting luggage, assisting disabled customers, vehicle maintenance, transportation of children and young people as well as developing knowledge of the industry itself.

The course will also include further assistance and funding with badge application, medical examinations with your GP, enhanced DBS check, locality test and DSA test (if required).

Entry Requirements

  • Unemployed and in receipt of working age/work-related benefits
  • Aged 19 +
  • UK citizen OR European Citizen or been in UK for three years or more
  • Full UK Driving License held

Course Duration

4 weeks

Learning and Assessment Methods

You will be taught through classroom sessions, practical activities, group activities. The course will be assessed via written assessments and an online exam.
